For this kit the donor car is the 1984-1988 Pontiac Fiero however you can also use any mid-engine car and modify it to work with the body kit. 3 other donor cars that can be used with this kit are the 1997-2004 Porsche Boxster, 1991-1995 Toyota MR2, and the 2000-2005 Toyota MR2.

NOTE: The Mercy-2 NO TOP version is the easiest Mercy kit to complete because you don’t have to install door glass, and with the top of the door frames cut off it is easier to align your Lambo doors with the body kit, because you are not having to align the top of the door frames with the top of the vehicle.
ADVANTAGES OF HAVING A NO TOP BODY KIT:
1. You don’t have to bother with the door glasses because your car can have no door glasses which saves time and money and a lot of hassle.
2. Windshield wipers won’t matter because you only drive it on pretty days, plus rain-x will work in case you did get caught in rain. It saves time and money not to have to install a wiper motor and wiper blade on your finished car.
3. It saves time and money not to have to worry about the heater and a/c working and with a no top air conditioning and heat are not needed.
4. It’s easier to line up your doors, because you’re not having to line up the top of the door frame with the roof of the car, all you have to do is get your latch lined up working right and you are done, so the Lambo doors are a lot easier to complete for the No Top version body kit.
5. For tall people, head room is not an issue in the No Top version.
6. There is no better looking version of any vehicle than a car with either the top down, or no top at all, the no top version vehicle simply looks better and more sporty.
7. Its very easy to get in and out of the no top version, and on a lambo car it is an important factor.
8. The No Top version is simply easier to complete, and you will complete your no top version car quicker, for example, you don’t have to do any upholstery work on the inside roof on the car.
9. No worries about being locked out of your car. If your door were to stop working, you could easily step over the door into the car.
10. With the no top version you do not have to worry about wind noise and rain coming in around your door, you also don’t have to put rubber door gaskets around the door, because you only drive it on pretty days.
11. You do not have to install the quarter glass or the quarter glass frame because a no top version has no quarter glass.
12. With a no top version you could screw the doors shut and be able to step over the car and not even have to install the door latches. The car will be so low to the ground getting in from over the door would be quite simple.
13. You would not have to install inner-fender liners, also known as a black plastic splash shields above each tire because you do not drive the car in the rain.

The
interior kit is included with the purchase of your Mercy-1, body-kit
and the interior kit is made up of 12 fiberglass pieces. The 12 piece interior kit is made
up of 3 pieces on the inside of each door panel and 3 pieces that make
up the dash which is the actual dash and the cover that covers the
instrument cluster and a triangle shaped handle in front of the radio
and these pieces makeup a total of 9 of the 12 pieces. The console
which is the tenth piece is located between the two seats and it is
made up of two console pieces. The two pieces that make up the
console is the one armrest/console piece that is included in the
interior kit and the long, console piece that runs
from the radio, back between the seats. Most people cover this long,
console piece in carpet or vinyl. The
armrest/console, fiberglass piece that you receive from us will set on
top of the long, console piece. You can use
the Fiero seats and you can attach two fiberglass panels to make the seats more sportier looking.
The 12 piece interior kit is made up of 3 pieces for each door panel
which is a total of 6 pieces for the two doors and 3 pieces for the
dash and 1 fiberglass piece for the console/armrest for a total of 12 pieces. Some people choose to buy
racing car seats for their Mercy-1, body-kit instead of using the
upgraded Fiero seats. (NOTE: For additional information, see the photos
that show the completed Mercy-1 interior and also see the photos of the
gray, fiberglass interior pieces that make up the interior kit on the
Mercy-1 website page.)

The
large, rear spoiler that is located on the yellow car is not included
with the Mercy 1 kit. This kit is a beautiful conversion kit. You can
now own the italian styled super-car of your dreams. This kit is
designed to be installed on a 1984-1988 fiero but you can make it fit
on a 1997-2004 boxster or 1991-1995 Toyota MR2
We suggest the donor car be
slightly damaged because the sheet metal will not be used on the
finished kit and you will save a lot of money by using a damaged donor
car. All unused body parts can be resold as scrap or resold on
ebay as reusable body parts.
The stock wheelbase of a fiero is 93.4" and the wheelbase for the real deal is 105.1" when you add 10.5" to the Fiero's wheel base your wheel base will then match the Mercy-1 body-kit of 104".

The yellow Mercy-2 N.T. has had the side and front vents modified to look like the Mercy-1 air-vents. The factory 2000-2005 Toyota MR2 dash, steering wheel, and air bag was used in the picture above.

The black car above is a Mercy-2 and the black color is good to use for a kit car because it hides alot of flaws that may be on the kit car that can easily be covered-up with black paint or black under-coating.
The light tan interior looks good however it shows dirt easily therefore we recommend a dark interior color.
Notice the rear section of the car has the Mercy-1 exhaust on it & does not have the Mercy-2 lower rear bumper panel.
The Gallardo wheels & the side vents are also the Mercy-1 style.
