GT-2 Kit Information:
For the trunk hinges on the GT2 kit you can use 1982-1985 Honda Accord four door sedan trunk hinges or any Fiero or Dodge stealth hood hinges. Most people use the 82085 Acoord hinges. You weld or bolt one end of the hinge to the metal car body and fiberglass the other end of the hinge to the kit?s trunk lid. The hinges can be found on eBay or a salvage yard for about $4.00 each.

You can use the GT #2. Kit on a 1997-2004 porsche boxster and YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO STRETCH THE BOXSTER.

The GT #2 kit is designed to be installed very easily on the 1997-2004 Porsche Boxster with NO floor-pan stretch required for the Boxster donor car.

These kits come with a removable hard-top only, JUST LIKE THE REAL GT.

I suggest the donor car be slightly damaged because the sheet metal will not be used on the finished kit and you will save a lot of money by using a damaged donor car. All unused body parts can be resold as scrap or on ebay as reusable body parts. We sell slightly damaged donor cars at great prices.

You will keep the doors and hood and all other body, sheet-metal parts can be resold from the Boxster donor car. If you cut the rear quarter panels off the Boxster donor car carefully, you can resale them. Some people use a plasma cutter to remove the spot welds on the quarter panels.

The hard top comes off of the boxster.

YOU CAN USE PORSCHE 911 DOOR GLASSES ON YOUR FINISHED REPLICA, INSTEAD OF THE BOXSTER DOOR GLASSES. THE PORSCHE 911 WINDOWS WILL BOLT EASILY TO THE BOXSTER DOORS AND THEY WILL FIT THE BODY-KIT BETTER THAN THE BOXSTER DOOR GLASSES DO.

The door handles and door mirrors can stay on the Boxster, donor car and the completed GT2 replica car. Some people upgrade the side mirrors with any more desired mirror from a salvage yard like the 1995-1997 Oldsmobile Aurora mirror and they also add a ?shaved door kit to the Boxster, donor car which will eliminate the exterior door handles.

Some people add a carbon fiber dash kit off ebay to the donor for about $40.00.

You can use the Boxster, donor cars factory interior and the donor cars vehicle glass for your completed GT2 replica car.
